Recording of Biometrics

All applications for residence permit to Denmark must contain biometrics. This is normally done at the same time as the application is submitted. If the application is submitted online, by a substitute person or by mail to the Danish Immigration Service in Copenhagen, it is possible to obtain the biometrics at the Danish embassy in Stockholm.

Danish residence cards must contain biometrics (digital photograph, signature and fingerprints of index fingers).

Children under 6 (age 6 minus 1 day) are not required to give fingerprints.

Recording of biometrics can only be done personally at the Embassy in Stockholm or at The Danish Immigration Service in Copenhagen.

To get your biometrics recorded at the Embassy you need to book an appointment. To book an appointment call 08 406 75 00 during the opening hours: Monday-Wednesday 9am–12pm and Thursday 1pm–4pm.
Please be aware that the embassy can have a waiting time of four - six weeks

The fee for obtaining biometrics at the embassy is SEK 1840.
