Digital solutions and technological development are crucial components of the future health and welfare systems, as well as important elements of societal resilience in Denmark and Sweden. Therefore, they are central elements in the embassy's work. We are now looking for a trade advisor to support the activities of Danish businesses in Sweden with a focus on digitalization and healthcare technology.
The embassy’s Trade Council helps Danish companies by adjusting their business models, identifying market opportunities, supporting internationalization efforts etc. We work with large companies with extensive international experience as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) where Sweden is often the first export market.
As trade advisor you will promote Danish solutions by advising Danish companies and organizations on opportunities in Sweden, analysing their market potential, organizing seminars, delegation trips and other events. You must be able to understand the specific needs of each company and create the highest possible value for them. You will also be part of building alliances between Danish and Swedish stakeholders, identifying new opportunities, and exploring market prospects for the companies.

The department also collaborates with the Nordic and Baltic embassies. Therefore, it is expected that you will be able to engage in cross-border cooperation with colleagues across the region.
We are looking for:
- A proactive colleague with strong networking skills and plenty of drive.
- A team player who is always ready to lend a helping hand and go the extra mile to ensure successful outcomes for all of the embassy’s stakeholders.
- A result-oriented colleague with a talent for identifying opportunities and creating value for Danish businesses.
Profile and qualifications

- You have excellent communication skills. The applicant must be proficient in Danish (Swedish or Norwegian).
- You have an interest in societal affairs in general, strategy, export, internationalization, and public affairs.
- Ideally you have knowledge about digitalization and the healthcare sector.
- You understand the regulatory framework and market opportunities and challenges in Sweden.
- You are initiative-driven and have the ability to translate ideas into value-creating projects for companies based on their needs and interests.
- Well-versed in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
We offer
We are an Embassy of purpose driven and dedicated colleagues. Our work environment is dynamic with high team spirit and a large degree of independence and responsibility in planning daily work and strategic projects. We are motivated by making a difference and strive to represent Danish interests in Sweden in the best possible way - and have fun while doing so. We offer an opportunity to develop in an international environment with very diverse tasks, while providing value to Denmark.
Employment conditions
- Full time employment on an open-ended local contract based on Swedish labour law and the minimum standards of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A standard 37 hours workweek, including 30 min lunch, based on a flexible hour’s schedule.

- A salary which reflects the candidate’s level of qualifications and functions.
- Social security and workplace pension schemes.
- Benefits and other conditions based on the Embassy’s Staff Handbook.
